PLOT.

Amakuji. Just your average town with an interesting past. Or at least it used to be. Long ago, it was rumored Obake roamed the town, causing trouble and ultimately making the humans lives a total hell. Brave humans stood up to the threat, becoming Monster Hunters to put these creatures in their place. It was a long battle but eventually they overcame and the Obake seemed to just vanish. At least, that's what they wanted you to believe. Years passed and the stories of these battles with monsters and spirits became just that. Stories that entertained. It eventually got out and tourists from all around the world would come and visit, the thrill seekers hoping to run into one of these Obake. But they simply became a source for funding for the small town and they played along just to please the foolish tourists. All the while, Obake continued to lurk, causing unexplainable accidents and keeping the townsfolk on their toes. Hunters once again rose up, keeping the oblivious humans safe in the background and ultimately trying to keep them from panicking. But it seemed with time the Obake became a bit harder, more intelligent and clever in avoiding them. It was the a new being arrived. Those called Guardians rose up to the challenge, determined to protect those they care about from harm. But it seems their presence has been misunderstood, causing them to have to fear hunters as well. All the while, the oblivious humans continue to live life, totally unaware of what's happening in the shadows. And that's how they want to keep things. But how long before they finally realize whats going on?

Secret Guardians is a modern fantasy roleplay. Here you may play as the mischievous Obake, the vengeful Hunter, the protective Guardian, or simply the oblivious Human who's stuck between it all.
