Mysterious is a psychological thriller set in Beika, Tokyo, Japan, an overzealous Sherlock Holmes and Arsène Lupin-inspired city where the mundane and mysterious entwine. While its lucky denizens enjoy the city’s mundane life and remain unaffected by the series of hardships that other denizens face, a selective few have become informed of the city’s darker secrets.
The city’s plagued with homicides; phantom jewel thieves to mundane crime and secrets, causing the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department to be busier than ever in the bustling metropolis. However, just like the city’s denizens, they remain uninformed of the city’s biggest secret: the FBI’s and CIA’s courageous attempts to infiltrate and takedown a notorious underground engineering syndicate which has posed as a global threat for the past century. With their goals unknown, their founder unidentified to even its members, Beika’s certainly not the safest place to be.
